Today we would like to introduce you to Carolin Richter. She joined our team in September 2024. She has a passion for social media, creative writing and organisation. It’s her first working experience in a Coliving.
Get to know Caro and what she loves most in life…
Tell us a bit about you, Carolin!
Ever since I experienced coliving for myself three years ago, I’ve wanted to be part of the industry. Luckily, I’ve found open doors at Sun and Co. So it’s my first time working in a Coliving & in Spain. I’m originally from Germany, near Leipzig.
For more than 10 years I’ve been working as a Social Media Manager for different companies – always in an office. Now I’ve made a big career change and I will continue to follow my dreams. As I prefer to work remotely, whenever and wherever I want, I will continue to work as a freelance Social Media Consultant and Manager.

What do you do at Sun and Co?
I want to use my experience, creativity and content to take engagement with Sun’s online marketing channels to the next level. My daily activities include: post stories on Instagram, send out email newsletters and update content on the website. Specialising in social media, I love bringing the social component to the local community. Welcoming people with a smile and making them feel at home.
Outside of work, what do you love to do?
Travelling to places I’ve never been before, photography, listening to music.
If you had to describe coliving in one word, what would it be?
Gemeinschaftsgefühl (sorry, it’s German)
What do you think makes Sun and Co. so special?
Our weekly curated programme. Every Monday we create a space for the community to share ideas and plans. Together we design a schedule of social and professional events for the week ahead. There are plenty to choose from. I wish I could clone myself to attend all of them 😉
What is one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to become location independent?
Find like-minded people. And keep in touch with your loved ones at home. Also share your real feelings – not just sunny beach pictures.
What is your favourite thing about Javea?
Definitely the combination of the beach and the mountains. I personally love watching the sunrise over the sea, hiking into the sunset and enjoying the great views from above.
Biggest surprise since joining the Sun and Co.’s team?
We all love dogs! 🐕
