Today we are introducing you to Ana Rodríguez Rejón, a great addition to our team who joined us in September 2023. Ana is bringing to Sun and Co a unique cocktail of skills as a coliving professional, mindful emotional intelligence trainer, and experienced nomad.
Get to know Ana and what excites her most about life…
Tell us a bit about you, Ana!
I was born and raised in Granada, in the south of Spain. I dedicated 10 years of my life to study, research and teach human nutrition at the University of Granada, where I did my PhD. I’ve always been a very active and curious student, so in my day to day at the school, I alternated classes with office time. I created student associations, developed educational projects, and launched campaigns to promote entrepreneurship among other students. Said that, it’s not surprising that the movement of digital nomads captivated me during a gap year in 2019. I fell in love with the concepts of community coliving coworking, and I decided to spend my last 5 years exploring and experimenting in this field.
What do you do at Sun and Co.?
I have a hybrid role, so I do a bit of everything: hosting, community facilitation, marketing and development. I absolutely love fostering authentic connections, leading sharing circles, and promoting personal and professional growth facilitating masterminds.
Related to business development, I’m the Head of Community Pass. The Community Pass is a new service that allows people to join the community and coworking while staying in their own apartments. It’s a great option for locals, expats, or remote workers who need a bit more privacy.
Outside of work, what do you love to do?
I love to slow down and cultivate presence, connect with nature, dance, sing, and meet friends to enjoy inspiring conversations. I’m fortunate to be able to do all that inside of work too =)
If you had to describe coliving in one word, what would it be?
Catalyst
What do you think makes Sun and Co. so special?
The community. Bold people who are willing to open their minds and hearts are crossing the door everyday. Being authentic is normal. Change is encouraged. Growth is a constant.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to become location independent?
If you want to experience it, just go for it. If you are sure that you want to, you’ll find out how to. But first of all, ask yourself if you truly want to do it. Be honest answering that question. And no worries, if you don’t like it, or get tired of moving, you can always settle down again. And, if you don’t want to let go of your current location, you don’t have to. You can experience the nomadic lifestyle for as long as you want, and come back to your regular home.
What is your favourite thing about Javea?
It’s a peaceful coastal town.
